WEEK 56: "Happy Day, All Is Well"

Image
Hi everyone! This week was fun and also very, very hot. We had exchanges with Sister Eastman and Sister Hansen, and with Hermana Olivares and Hermana Schefer! It was tiring to have so many exchanges back-to-back, but it's always worth it to spend time with these incredible sisters. They have so many strengths and I love being able to work with them. It's a special opportunity to be in a leadership position, and I definitely felt the Spirit working through me in my one-on-one time with them, and it was incredible to feel God's love for them. Blessings come when we try to magnify our callings and the Spirit filled my mind with ideas and words in response to their needs, and those exchanges were so powerful experiences for me. We had Zone Conference this week! It was our first with President and Sister Vance, and it was so good! They let all of the missionaries do an Endowment session in the temple, and the Spirit was so strong when I saw all of the missionaries gathered toget...

WEEK 55: "Pray, He Is There; Speak, He Is Listening!"

Hey everyone! I forgot to write, so here's just a collection of miracles from this week: - We took Kathy to the temple so that her family members could be baptized by proxy! She had her parents, grandparents, and a couple aunts and uncles' names and she let us do the baptisms for the female names. It was so special, and everyone was really touched by the experience! The temple is such a special place, as you can truly feel how thin the veil is between us and our loved ones on the other side. - We had exchanges this week! On our exchange, Sister Meyer and I had run out of water and no one was home to answer the doors we were knocking! It was hot and we were growing sunburnt and thirsty. At our last door, a member pulled up behind us and handed us cold Gatorades and water bottles, saying that she had seen us earlier but felt prompted to turn around and grab waters for us! It's such a small act but it meant the world to us, and it was such a clear sign that Heavenly Father hea...

WEEK 54: "The Field Is White, Already To [Great] Harvest"

HEY FRIENDS! How are you? I hope that all is well! It's been a week! We had a Zone review with Sister Vance, and it was honestly fantastic. We talked about our assignment as Sister Training Leaders and we got a lot of help in the things we've had questions about. The Spirit was definitely there, and the doors of revelation opened up! We came home with a lot of ideas and as we've studied, prayed, and worked, more answers have come and things are falling into place. With exchanges happening left and right, extra meetings, commuting into our area after moving apartments, and also balancing the Portuguese branch, things have been crazy. We've struggled to find people to teach recently, and it's been hard to not be in our area all of the time. But we were promised that and we love ourselves in the work and give all we can to serving others, our area would be provided for. Well, ladies and gentlemen, that happened! On Saturday we found two new people who expressed coming ...

WEEK 53: Out Of The Frying Pan, Into The Fire

Happy Monday, folks! So many things happened this week, but I've narrowed it down so that I can talk about the three biggest events. First and foremost: Our friend Ben is going to be baptized!!! On Saturday!! He literally put himself on date on his own, and then his member friend called us to let us know. He is quite literally the most amazing person that I've ever met. He is so cool. Sister Sena and I just love him so much. He's so excited to take this step and enter onto the covenant path. He's truly been prepared by the Lord, and it's finally his time! July 8th is his big day, and I am absolutely thrilled. Second: I celebrated my one year as a missionary this week! It's caused a lot of reflection, and yes, some existentialism, as I look back on the past year of my life. I've learned so much and have spent a lot of time this week rejoicing in the power of Jesus Christ and how He has changed me. Living His gospel, by acting in faith, repenting, and making c...
