WEEK 54: "The Field Is White, Already To [Great] Harvest"
HEY FRIENDS!
How are you? I hope that all is well!
It's been a week! We had a Zone review with Sister Vance, and it was honestly fantastic. We talked about our assignment as Sister Training Leaders and we got a lot of help in the things we've had questions about. The Spirit was definitely there, and the doors of revelation opened up! We came home with a lot of ideas and as we've studied, prayed, and worked, more answers have come and things are falling into place.
With exchanges happening left and right, extra meetings, commuting into our area after moving apartments, and also balancing the Portuguese branch, things have been crazy. We've struggled to find people to teach recently, and it's been hard to not be in our area all of the time. But we were promised that and we love ourselves in the work and give all we can to serving others, our area would be provided for. Well, ladies and gentlemen, that happened! On Saturday we found two new people who expressed coming to church, and Ben got baptized! It was a miraculous day, and we definitely saw the Lord's hand providing for us.
On the subject of the Lord providing, I have to give Great Harvest Bread Co. a shoutout. They have a thing called "missionary meals", which is a pre-paid meal for the missionaries! I cannot even describe how many times those heavenly missionary meals have pulled through for us! So I just wanted to say thanks to Great Harvest, and thanks to all those strangers who feed the missionaries anonymously. I am forever grateful.
It was a fun week. We're trying to get creative in balancing everything that we need to do. Sister Sena and I are finding a good rhythm and I'm enjoying my time with her! We're working hard and I'm happy!
"And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their mights; and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them; and they did obey the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard in all things." Jacob 5:72
I've grown to love this verse recently, as I can truly feel the Lord laboring with us. There's so much joy in this work, and I'm grateful to have this time as a missionary to focus on my Savior. He truly is my Savior and I love representing Him and teaching the beautiful truths of His gospel! Please take some time this week to study Jesus Christ and the doctrine that He taught! It's life-changing when we learn it and apply it!
