WEEK 74: Temple Day!

Image
HEY FRIENDS This week has been one of the greatest weeks of my life! It has been absolutely a wonderful week. Due to Thanksgiving this week, we tried to focus on being grateful. Making that a specific focus really made the week so much more joyful! We had so much fun expressing gratitude for the small and simple things, and I feel like it really gave me more of an eternal perspective. It's a good thing to have, and I'm trying to work on having a more faithful and eternal perspective. I'm trying to "think Celestial", if you will.  A small update on our friends: Pat came back to church! She's been having so many health problems that we haven't seen her in over a month, but she felt well enough to come to church on Sunday. We're hoping to get back into having lessons with her so that she can be baptized on December 30th! Jasmine and Jeray have been super busy, but were going to invite Jasmine to be baptized tonight! Lucas came to church and stayed for the...

WEEK 73: Grateful!

Hey hey! I wish I had a more exciting update to give this week, but unfortunately I don't. I ended up getting sick this week, and it took me out of commission for a solid 4 days. Thankfully I'm on the mend, and my companion was very patient with me through it all. With all the time staying inside, I tried to get caught up in my journaling. It's always a blessing to reflect on the miracles and tender mercies from God, and it was perfect timing with Thanksgiving this week! I always write down three things I'm grateful for at the end of each day, and looking back through it, I wanted to share highlights from the week: - Decluttering the apartment - The Spirit is the best teacher - Grateful for the sunshine that came back after it was overcast for 2 days - Chicken soup from a sweet member! - Reading the Nativity story as a companionship - Helping a member set up a Christmas tree -- we had a small and simple miracle, we couldn't find the stand for the tree, but after say...

WEEK 72: A Bug's Got To Do What A Bug's Got To Do

Hey friends!! It's been such a wonderful week! We have experienced so many miracles, and it's been amazing! Miracles truly have not ceased in the land, and God works in mysterious ways.  The progress of our friends has kind of slowed due to busy schedules and sickness, but the Lord still provides. We've been finding joy in the small and simple thing, and I've been trying to record as many of those moments in my pictures and in my journal. As my mission winds down I've been trying to take it all in. It's a bittersweet thing to serve a mission and to prepare to return home, but I'm focusing on experiencing every day and embracing every moment! Because otherwise I will get too sad about coming home...anyways. But speaking of, my homecoming report will be Sunday, December 17th at 9am! The address is 198 W Center St, Kaysville, UT 84037. Please let me know if you can make it!! But we're not going to dwell on that, because it's not over until it's over...

WEEK 71: "The Morrnin' Breiks"

HEY FRIENDS What a week!!! Sister Gariety and I are having the greatest time of our lives together. There is never a dull moment, and we are having so much fun! We keep each other entertained. She has brought an incredible energy into the area, and we are seeing miracles! She has called me to repentance about things that I have gotten out of the habit of doing, and she's making such a big impact on the wards. Life is so, so good. We met this incredible lady named Arcelia, and she's so sweet! We had a Book of Mormon study with her, and it was lovely. We also started teaching the son and daughter-in-law of a recent convert, and they love church! Jasmine and Jeray have high potential to be baptized in the next couple of months. Pat is still plugging along for her December 30th! She's been having a lot of challenges with her health, so please keep her in your prayers! We also had a sweet youth approach us on Saturday with their friend, as the friend has questions and wants to m...
