WEEK 55: "Pray, He Is There; Speak, He Is Listening!"
Hey everyone!
I forgot to write, so here's just a collection of miracles from this week:
- We took Kathy to the temple so that her family members could be baptized by proxy! She had her parents, grandparents, and a couple aunts and uncles' names and she let us do the baptisms for the female names. It was so special, and everyone was really touched by the experience! The temple is such a special place, as you can truly feel how thin the veil is between us and our loved ones on the other side.
- We had exchanges this week! On our exchange, Sister Meyer and I had run out of water and no one was home to answer the doors we were knocking! It was hot and we were growing sunburnt and thirsty. At our last door, a member pulled up behind us and handed us cold Gatorades and water bottles, saying that she had seen us earlier but felt prompted to turn around and grab waters for us! It's such a small act but it meant the world to us, and it was such a clear sign that Heavenly Father hears our prayers!
- I was having a hard day and then we met this gentle giant of a dog and he was absolutely incredible. He was actually HUGE but the camera doesn't pick up the magnitude of his presence.
I just want to say that I'm grateful for prayer this week. I think it's incredible that we get to communicate with our Father so personally! He hears every prayer and knows our needs and He takes care of his. I have been trying to improve my prayers this week and have already felt such a difference! God loves you!
The primary hymn 'A Child's Prayer' says it best:
"Pray, he is there;
Speak, he is list’ning.
You are his child;
His love now surrounds you.
He hears your prayer..."
Give God a chance to answer your prayers this week! He hears you and loves you.
