WEEK 56: "Happy Day, All Is Well"

Hi everyone!

This week was fun and also very, very hot.

We had exchanges with Sister Eastman and Sister Hansen, and with Hermana Olivares and Hermana Schefer! It was tiring to have so many exchanges back-to-back, but it's always worth it to spend time with these incredible sisters. They have so many strengths and I love being able to work with them. It's a special opportunity to be in a leadership position, and I definitely felt the Spirit working through me in my one-on-one time with them, and it was incredible to feel God's love for them. Blessings come when we try to magnify our callings and the Spirit filled my mind with ideas and words in response to their needs, and those exchanges were so powerful experiences for me.

We had Zone Conference this week! It was our first with President and Sister Vance, and it was so good! They let all of the missionaries do an Endowment session in the temple, and the Spirit was so strong when I saw all of the missionaries gathered together in the temple. It was a tender experience for me to see so many of them and I felt an outpouring of God's love for each individual as we were in the Lord's house together. It was also an extra cool day, as Zone Conference was on July 19, which was the day that I entered the mission field one year ago! There was a group of us missionaries that came in July 19, 2022, and we took a picture together. It was so fun to see how much we've all grown and what we've experienced in the past year!

Exciting moment from this week: Printed copy of the new Preach My Gospel!!!

Sad moment from this week: I grabbed the car door and recieved a burn on the palm my hand because it was so hot. I would not recommend summer in Las Vegas.

Funny moment that my mom requested that I share: Some elders in our mission had their apartment broken into, but when the thieves realized that they had broken into a missionary apartment they left cash on the counter with a small note, apologizing for attempting to rob the missionaries. Iconic.

Anyway, that's all. Thanks for sticking around through this past year, it's humbling to reflect back and remember everything that's happened. Thank you each for the prayers and support, you make a huge difference. Never underestimate the impact that you have on the people who know you!!!

Love ya, bye!

- This picture of the Lost Sheep is just too tender to not include. Reading Luke 15 this week was amazing, and I love the parable of the Lost Sheep, the lost coin, and the Prodigal Son. I love this picture and how it shows the urgency Christ has in recovering us when we wander! If you haven't recently, I invite you to read that chapter!!!
