WEEK 65: ¡Milagros!
Hello friends!
It was a good week! It's an adjustment going from a trio to a duo, and it was noticeably quieter this week, but all is well.
We had an amazing Sunday this week, so many people came to church! We were running all around the building, saying hi to friends and helping the members and getting people situated. We haven't been that busy on a Sunday in a long time, and it felt good. It was so wonderful to be surprised by some of our friends and members who came, and everyone was just so cheerful yesterday. It was so good!
We had another miracle this week in finding someone to teach: Garrettson Swint! She's the most "active" nonmember you will ever meet! She comes every week, her family are all members, and she even holds a calling to help in the congregation! But she's never been baptized, and no one quite knows why! So our ward mission leader had a bold conversation with her and invited her to meet with us and work to know the truth for herself. She agreed! We have our first lesson with her this week, and we are excited for her future. She's an amazing woman, and we feel honored that she's allowing us to work with her, and is giving herself the chance to strengthen her testimony of the gospel! I can't imagine how scary it is to let yourself open up to the gospel, but everytime someone does it, I am so grateful and I know the Lord will fulfill His promises to help us know the truth! So, all that to say, please keep Sister Swint in your prayers, that she can learn for herself that baptism is the right step!
I'm so excited for General Conference this weekend! The chance to hear from the Lord through the living prophet is so special, and I know I'm in need of added strength and revelation from God. I'm looking forward to it, and I invite you to tune in!
Love you, bye!
