WEEK 57: Cheesy Bible Car Magnets

Oi!!  (That's Portoguese for "Hey!")

Sister Sena's trying to teach me some basic Portoguese. Spoiler alert: I'm not catching on quickly.

We had a couple cool experiences with following the Spirit this week! Our mission has been challenged to have each missionary talk to/offer a message to at least 10 new people every day. If there's not 10 people out and about, we've been Spirit-led knocking on doors to talk to more people! As I've been focusing on that and concentrating on listening to even the smallest signals from the Holy Ghost, I can definitely feel my sensitivity to His promptings increasing. This week we were led to 2 doors in particular: one that was the home of a member who was needing our help and direction back to church, and the other door was a young Portoguese family who is interested in the gospel! It was so cool noticing those doors and choosing to knock them, and being instantly rewarded by people who we could help. Heavenly Father truly hears all of His children's prayers!

We also were blessed with so many people answering their doors this week! I've noticed that as I'm making more of an effort to talk to more people, the Lord is helping us achieve our goals by leading us to the doors where people will answer! We met so many kind people this week, and it was amazing. Even though most of them weren't interested, they were just so nice! It was literally miraculous.

We had MLC this week and it was a great meeting.
I definitely have a testimony that President and Sister Vance are called by God to lead this mission right now! They have so many new and fresh ways of doing things, and it's crazy that we've never thought about certain aspects of missionary work in the way that they do. They're really pushing the mission to work more effectively and are giving small invitations that are really stretching us. I'm still adjusting to their leadership, but I can't deny that they're leading us with revelation from heaven! It's cool to see them working, and it's definitely a unique experience to be a leader in the mission at a time like this.

Random story from this week: We got bashed for 20 minutes by some people with a Christian party bus (?) but they gave us cheesy Bible magnets to put on our car after so I guess that made it worth it.

Anyway. It's been a lovely week! Take some time this week to read from the scriptures, they're amazing and I love studying the word of God.

Love you, bye!
