WEEK 36: It's A Good Life

Hey!! Happy Monday, friends and family!

Regretably, but unsurprisingly, I procrastinated my email again this week and it's going to be very short today. I am sorry.

But just a couple things about this week!
First of all, in the chaos of last week, I forgot to mention that I hit my 8 month mark!! Woot woot!! We celebrated with some Cafe Rio and an ice cream sundae to finish off our night last Monday.

We had a mini exchange with Sister Rigby this week, while Sister Volkel went to MLC! It was so fun being in a trio for the afternoon.

I saw a cat use a crosswalk and it literally made my entire life

On Thursday we had New Missionary Training! We had the chance to do a session at the temple beforehand, and it was AMAZING!! It was so fun being there with so many missionaries, and being able to just focus solely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ and feel God's love and His power. New Missionary Training was POWERFUL. It went a bit long (two hours over, but what can you do), and it was full of messages and reminders that I needed to hear.

However. We got home from that and I immediately got sick... I've been out of commission the entire weekend, which is super lame. I slept for basically 2 days straight, and barely made it through our meetings on Sunday. But I'm almost fully recovered.

It's been a slow week, there isn't much to report on our friends. I just ask that you please keep Amanda, Vance, and Sara in your prayers this week! They're all struggling with various addiction and it's so hard to watch. They need all the help they can get! Thank you!!

I've had some PHENOMENAL personal studies this week, and hopefully I'll be able to dive into them more in next week's email! All I can say is that the scriptures are literally amazing and such powerful evidence of God's love for us. He has so much knowledge that we literally can't even comprehend, and He gives us so much in all of the Standard Works! I know I'm guilty of not taking enough advantage of that. But they truly are such gifts! So my invitation to you this week is to spend more time in the scriptures! You will be blessed with more knowledge, love, and God's Spirit. He'll bring clarity to you that you don't even know you're looking for. I promise.

That's all! Love you, bye!!
