WEEK 21: Transfer Week!!

I MUST MAKE AN APOLOGY. My weekly sent super late last week!! I am so sorry! I sent it before Pday ended, but the service in our apartment was being weird and it wouldn't send. It stayed in the Queued section until Tuesday, and then sent off... I am so sorry. I promise that I'm not an apostate missionary.

Anyway. Moving on.

On Friday our entire Zone had the opportunity to participate in a service project with The Salvation Army! We assembled Thanksgiving meal boxes. We assembled, taped, and loaded 200 boxes in under an hour, and it was so fun! I love big service activities like that, and it was so fun to be with such a large group of missionaries.

We got transfer news this week! I found out that I am getting transfered back into the Railroad Pass Zone! It's a huge surprise, I thought that I would be staying here. But I'm excited to go back to Henderson! Sister Welch will be my new companion, she is one of the missionaries that came out with me. I'm heartbroken to be leaving Sunrise and Sister Salazar and this district, but I know this change will be good! Along with transfers, Hermana Wright is headed home! We dropped her off at the mission office this morning. Many tears were shed.

I am just so grateful that I've been able to spend so much time in this area! God absolutely did not have to bring me here, but He did. I have learned so much and I've felt so much joy being here. I'm so grateful for the beautiful memories I've made with the missionaries and the people here. I invite all of you to take a couple minutes this week and say a prayer of gratitude to our Father in Heaven! He is SO good to all of us. Gratitude is a commandment, and every commandment is accompanied with a promised blessing. "To express gratitude is gracious and honorable, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live with gratitude ever in our hearts is to touch heaven."

I hope you all have a DELIGHTFUL Thanksgiving!! Know that you are loved.
Love, Sister Malmstrom

FOTOGRAFÍAS
- Saw the Rodartes at the temple a couple weeks ago, and they took a picture of us and our little bikes:)
- Sister Salazar has a gift for seeing praying mantis bugs on the ground.
- Theodore the massive chipmunk. "WHO MANUFACTURES CHIPMUNKS THAT BIG??"
- The streets of Las Vegas have truly brought out my inner raccoon. Anything shiny catches my attention. We find coins almost every single day. We find puzzle pieces that I take home and put Jesus pictures on, engagement rings on the sidewalk, broken keys, pretty much anything you could think of. I have always said that I wouldn't get transfered until I found a quarter in this area... So after I found one on Saturday I knew I was a goner.
- Just having fun with Kathy's dogs. You can't tell in the pictures, but they are absolute units. Absolute tanks. The most chaotic dogs ever.
- Roommate picture!!
- Picture with the Zone Leaders before taking Hermana Wright to the mission office!
- We saw Hermana Housley today!! Love her so much.
- I've been working on an art project all transfer: painting the temple onto a journal. It's taken all transfer, but I finally finished it and I'm very proud of it.
